An incredible intensive and proven event is a style

shows. Whether it's a baby style show, bridal show,

women's fashions or children's fashion show you will

thoroughly enjoy the excitement and name recognition

gained from this event. Everybody loves seeing the

latest fashions that will be upcoming.
If you are a women's league, sorority, women's ministry, social club or civic association made up of mostly women, then this will be the perfect fundraiser.
Starting Out
The first consideration is putting on a successful style show is what event you will put on. This is critical, since you don't want to have a bridal show right after another that has been scheduled and has taken place for years. If you do, then your event will surely fail.
Check with your chamber of commerce for scheduled events. Plan your dates accordingly with your local civic center, shopping mall or high school auditorium if you live in a smaller town. Most shows work very successfully in the spring.
And do not leave out recruiting a committee to work on all of the details needed. Remember, many hands make light work for all.
Two Options To Consider
The two options for your style show is how your show will be presented.
Option One
Most style shows work with stores in a local mall to show their spring, summer or fall fashions. They will work with one store or several if there is a good working repoir with each other.
Charge $500 to $1,000 per store if there are more than one store to showcase. Consider also charging $30 to $50 per item shown. Work out the arrangements out with each store well before hand.
Option Two
Your second options is to contact various small stores throughout your town and get an agreement to show so many fashions for an fee. Your organization will be advertising their store and fashions they carry. Charge $500 to $1,000 per store and portray five to ten stores in an hour long store.
Ask that the store owners or managers provide some certificates that will get people back into their store.
Your Models
You can ask various sororities, girls groups and even your own members to act as models for your shows. If you are a ladies club, you might also involve your children and teenagers in your show.
Take inventory and get at least a couple of dozen models. Your will need these numbers as you approach the stores so that they can match the outfits with the number of models that you have available.
Another great way to secure models is to have community involvement. Arrange for advertisements or notices placed in your local newspaper and other media outlets about a model competition. Arrange for a special day for individuals to come and model for your event manager.
This will attract many families not associated with your group and will also get parents and grandparents out for your style show that will give it a big attendance boost. A large attendance will show your stores that it was worth the money they spent and that they will be a more successful event next year as the word spreads.
The Stage
Don't overlook the obvious essentials. You must have a good sound system. Borrow this from your church or from a local sound shop that you agree to promote during your style show.
You'll need a stage, usually wooden, that is decorated simply but will fashionable. Make sure that you have stairs to get up on the stage.
Certainly you should have a dressing room nearby. A double enclosed curtained room will suffice in a mall setting. Just make sure that your models have on sports type undergarments that make it easy to get in and out of clothes that they model.
These are just a few of the essentials that you should consider. Of course, with the talent and inventiveness of yourself and those in your group, coming up with the perfect plan should be a breeze.
