Fundraising Idea Spotlight - Commemorative Coins

Make your the next anniversary of your organization special
by making it truly memorable. While you're at it, raise
some extra funds for your group.

Make your own commemorative coin to celebrate your special
event. I've seen this done many times for museums, war or
historical sites, landmarks or to celebrate an anniversary
event. You can do it for your group too.

It is relatively simple to make several to tens of thousands
of dollars depending on your market area and how you sell
these special treasures to people in your community.

See how to make a mint with your own commemorative coins here.

Product Focus - M & M ColorWorks

I've found a low-costing steady income for small nonprofits.
M & M candies are well known as one of the top brands of
candy in the world. Just show someone one of those M & M
Candy guys and people can quickly identify with quality
and fun.

They now have a way to offer over 21 different colors for you
to choose from. You can put together any color combination
with your school colors, nonprofit colors, or business colors.
You can then sell these in packages for corporate sales or
in a vending situation at your location.

The ColorWorks site offers a candy machine for $35 that you
can put your special colors in and sell on a continuous basis.
Your profits will grow with the number of machines that you
place out. Get your supporters to place them in their place
of business or around your school or nonprofit.

Check more about selling your favorite colors at
M & M ColorWorks. or click the banner below.

Book Review - Raise More Money : The Best of the
Grassroots Fundraising Journal

The Grassroots Fundraising Journal is celebrating it's 20th
anniversary. Publishers Kim Klein and Stephanie Roth have put
together some of their most valuable writings.

If you are a small to medium sized nonprofit organization, then
you can probably identify with the grassroots ideas that they
will provide you. They bring out many tips on fundraising
philosophy, board development, strategic planning, and
organizational structure. Just what all small nonprofits need.

As a reader you will find out how to develop effective written
materials and how to track the results of your fundraising
emphasis. They even have a section on having more effective
board meetings. Being able to enhance your board meetings
alone will be worth reading this book. You'll find out how to
organize a special event among other things.

The book stays true to it's title and really is a good read
for all of you guys out in the grassroots fundraising world.
I give it a 4.5 (on a scale of 5).
