Fundraising Idea Spotlight - Hamburger Sale
A Hamburger supper or lunch fundraiser is a quick fundraiser
with very little manpower needed. However, it will require
as many of your group's members as possible to sell tickets
beforehand.
A typical Hamburger Supper will include a hamburger with all
the fixings (including cheese), chips, cookie or other similar
dessert, and a drink of the customers choice. Let the
customer choose from the different drinks, chips and desserts
available.
Be sure to have bags, styrofoam containers, napkins, and
straws on hand as well. If you ask for help from local
restaurants, many of these items can be donated, making
you even more profit.
The better the marketing and sales techniques by your group,
the more you will raise. Sure it helps to have a good cook
too.
I suggest that you have a unique idea that separates you from
the typical hamburger sale. Try making square hamburgers and
call them the Sponge Bob Square Pants Patties (after the
popular children's comic show).
You may also consider making a 1/4 pound and 1/2 pound
hamburger to add a new twist. Make it known that you have
the "Biggest Burger In Town Supper Sale" going on.
Finally, don't forget to add Hickory or Mesquite to your
grilling so that the aroma will attract people nearby to pay
you a visit.

I know that you may have bought one of these candy bars at
one time or another at some point in the past. I've bought
and sold some of these great milk chocolate candy bars myself
for various groups.
The candy bar I'm referring to is the World's Finest Chocolate
bars. They come in a special Variety Case that consists of 13
each of the following: Milk Chocolate with Almonds, Crispy
Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate with Peanut Butter, and Milk
Chocolate with Caramel! All are favorites of mine and I bet
that you like one of these as well.
That's why they are such good sellers. Almost 99% of the
world loves chocolate. Selling at $1.00 each, your group can
easily make a profit of 50 cents from each bar sold.
This product is great for smaller groups wishing to supplement
their fundraising efforts. While being a great product that
sells easily, you still will need a large sales force that
is aggressive in their sales efforts.
The most effective way to sell these chocolate bars is with
the cooperation of your local school, sporting event, or at
the local grocery store. You will want a lot of traffic to
make the most impact on your funds raised.
Book Review - The Volunteer Workforce: How Your
Business Can Thrive In A Tight Labor Market By Hiring
Volunteers
Everybody reading this review should sit down and thoroughly
check out the information on this book....and then buy it.
Don't pass this book up if you are serious about raising
some extra money for your group.
The author Tony Collette has really taken some old
information on volunteerism and put a new twist on it to show
how to make a profit. His ideas supply a way for businesses
that are short-handed during busy seasons to get desperately
needed manpower and a way for nonprofits to make money by
supplying that need.
Tony states, "For over 30 years big business has solved its
staffing shortages by teaming up with charities and 'hiring'
volunteers. I've been absolutely astounded to learn how
effective this strategy is for both the businesses which use
it, and the non-profits which participate."
I give his book a 5.0 (on a scale of 5), because of how it
reads and what it can do for nonprofits of all sizes.
This book is one of those "no brainer" fundraising ideas. You
simply must
get this book now

funds and friends.
