Editor's Note
Well, school is really underway now. I've enrolled my
daughters back in school and am now attending all of the
parents meetings and band parents booster fundraising.
Our
band concession stand at the game the other night raised
$2,000 just from selling "big pizza" slices from Dominoes for
$2.00 each. They only had pepperoni and cheese available,
but they sold 1,000 slices.
Pepsi supplied the band with 16 oz bottled drinks of various
types. They ran out of bottled water ($1.50 each), because
they only had 600 bottles. Imagine that. So it was a
successful fundraising night.
I've chosen two Fall fundraising products that are time
sensitive so I thought I would send these out immediately.
If you are not necessarily a school oriented group or youth
oriented organization, you can still utilize these programs
effectively if you twist your marketing plan a little.
I'll get you some more free fundraising ideas in the next
issue. And don't forget, all groups can still get your FREE Affinity Website
that will generate funds for you month
after month. Check it out.
Here is a very colorful fundraiser that I found and am very
excited about it. It's great for schools, sports teams,
clubs, and even businesses that sport their own colors. Oh,
and oddly enough many weddings are using these as well.
Imagine getting America's favorite candy in your favorite
colors and making a profit from it.
There are many ways to raise funds with this program.
1. Sell outright in small packages for 50 cents.
2. Spend a little to get some candy vending machines and make
money all year long. You can get these vending machines at
Sam's Club wholesalers between $40 and $80. The payback is
very quick. Go through a whole batch fill and you'll easily
make $150.
Do this again and again and it's pure
profit.
3. Sell to businesses that support your school or sports team.
Don't just sell them an ad in your newspaper or foodball
schedule. Ask them to choose their corporate colors and then
you sell them at area ball games or the like. They pay for
the candy, you make an announcement about their support (very
unique I might add), put an add in your program magazine
(if you like) and then all sales are pure profit to you.
These are just a few of the many ways to generate some
astounding interest for your group and to magnify your fund
raising profits.
How would you like to get 50% profits from selling the most
beautiful flowers that you've ever seen? I love flowers in
my garden and I'm not alone. Sell flowering bulbs this fall.
Your prospects will range from every homeowner in the area
of your nonprofit group to every business with a landscaped
entry. Every parent or member will want to help you by
helping themselves with these beautiful home and garden
enhancers.
