Paying Those Taxes
Here's a great tip for you. Did you know that some states still require
you to pay taxes that are generated by your fundraiser?
Many of us don't want to think about this annoying variable in our
fundraising campaign, but you should at least be aware of where to get
help on the matter.

Raising Funds By Dining With Celebrities
Wouldn't it be exciting to be able to sit down over lunch or supper
with someone you've always admired...a celebrity perhaps, or a
prominent figure in your community?
People would pay your organization in order to be provided access to
a celebrity figure for just an hour or two.
The celebrity could be a sports star, singer, politician,
entertainer, journalist, business leader or even a key coummunity
figure.
One charity reported that they conducted a completely successful
celebrity fundraising auction. With 170 celebrities auctioned off,
they raised $157, 376.70.
Some of the celebrities auctioned pulled in from $400 to over
$11,000 each. Faith Hill pulled in the highest auction at $14,100.00.
Although this nonprofit conducted their fundraiser on a national
basis, there's nothing that says you can't do it nationally too. It
could certainly be conducted on a local or regional basis by your
